When LDC, the private equity arm of Lloyds Banking Group, invited us to take part in their Land's End to John O'Groats cycling tour we jumped at the chance to get on our bikes and raise some money for a good cause.

On 7th and 8th June seven intrepid cyclists from Element78 completed over 130 miles from Taunton to Reading to raise money for The Wallace and Gromit Grand Appeal.

In total over £1,400 was raised and Sarah Vipond from the charity said  "Thank you all so much for choosing to take part in Tour De LDC and fundraise for The Grand Appeal. Your support is hugely appreciated and really will make a difference to Bristol Childrens Hospital."

The lycra clad volunteers also got a mention in the local paper for their eye catching pink tutus and fairy wings. 

As well as sponsorship, Element78 also designed, built and hosted the Tour de LDC blog which was used as the main communication hub for the event. Support was also given to ensure a successful, and mobile, Social Media campaign ran alongside the event.
